Fundraising

The Charity has received much support from generous donors, and already fundraising ideas are turning into realities (see below).

It is intended that OCI will help people to apply for funding for orchid conservation projects and to establish and run them.  It is hoped that a small permanent staff will eventually be needed to drive this project forward.  Looking ahead, the plan is to invite a number of international trustees to join the board and eventually perhaps set up a sister charity in the U.S.

Donations

Orchid Conservation International always welcomes your donations.  If you would like to make a donation to Orchid Conservation International, please contact either Philip Seaton at or Dr Michael Fay at .

Posters

To date, two posters have been generously designed for Orchid Conservation International by graduating students of Blackpool and the Fylde College, an Associate College of Lancaster University in the UK, as a result of a relationship developed with OCI trustee Phil Seaton.

The first, published in 2005, was designed by Ian Cartwright and features a Coryanthes species in situ with its attendant ants.

The second, published in 2006, was designed by Ruth Grant and features Paphiopedilum rothschildianum in its habitat on Mount Kinabalu.
